The main 2 evidenced based therapies in the UK is CBT and Counselling. The National institute for clinical excellence (NICE), recommends CBT is more preferrable for anxiety and Depression problems compared to any other type of therapy. They recommend that for CBT to be used safely it should be conducted by practitioners who registered under the British association for Cognitive and Behavioral therapies (BABCP).
